Royal Flight School (Age 3 to 11 years) Our aim is to provide academic excellence by implementing a challenging, broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum. We encourage pupils to enjoy the adventure of learning and provide them with opportunities to develop a range of skills and knowledge. These will help them to achieve their maximum potential and prepare them academically and socially for the next stage of their education. We seek to establish positive attitudes, self-confidence, good behaviour and personal integrity.
We have a purpose-built school in a secure compound with spacious, beautifully-landscaped grassed areas. Within the main school building there are large, well-equipped classrooms and a computer suite where all children receive tuition. We have a grassed pitch which is used for athletics, football and rounders. The school uses the gymnasium, tennis courts and the swimming pool on the complex for lessons and after school activities. During break times, the children are able to stay under the shaded area at the back of the school, or sit under the mature trees that border the school field.
Our curriculum is perfectly attuned to the needs of children in Primary School (3 to 11 years of age), based on the British National Curriculum. The Class Teacher is responsible for English, Mathematics, Science, Design Technology, History and Geography. ICT (Information and Communication Technology), Art and Design, Drama, Music, Physical Education, French, Arabic and Learning Support are taught by specialist staff.
The American International School of Muscat (TAISM) The American International School of Muscat (TAISM) pursues academic excellence for students in the international community through an American-based education that develops ethical, responsible, and globally conscious life-long learners.
The following core beliefs are the foundation of TAISM’s educational program:
The purpose of education is to enable all students to develop their intellectual, emotional, social, and physical potential to the fullest.
A liberal arts education is best suited to providing students with an understanding of humankind’s intellectual traditions and accomplishments, strengthening their powers of thought, judgment, and aesthetic appreciation, and preparing them for responsible citizenship.
All students are capable of achieving academic success. Therefore, within the framework of the school’s standards, teachers adapt their educational practices to the needs of students.
A close relationship among students, parents, faculty, and administrators enhances the educational process.
TAISM’s location in the Sultanate of Oman offers unique and invaluable learning opportunities for all members of the school community.
